About the Role
A leading SOLIDWORKS VAR for CAD and CAE software is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Engineer – CAE Software to drive business growth in the Pune region. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering along with experience in B2B technical/software sales.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell CAE software solutions to manufacturing and engineering companies
- Identify new business opportunities and generate qualified leads
- Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and solution demonstrations
- Understand customer requirements and propose suitable CAE solutions
- Work closely with technical/pre-sales teams for demos and proof of concepts
- Manage complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure account growth
- Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals
🔹 Required Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in technical/software sales (preferably CAE/CAD/PLM domain)
- Strong understanding of CAE concepts (FEA, CFD, simulation workflows)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage with design, simulation, and R&D teams
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
🔹 Preferred
- Prior experience in selling CAE/Engineering software
- Exposure to manufacturing industries such as automotive, heavy engineering, or aerospace
