
Hiring: Technical Manager – SOLIDWORKS | Location: Mumbai
A leading SOLIDWORKS Reseller is looking for a Technical Support Manager for Mumbai Location.
A Technical Support Manager role involves overseeing technical teams, managing customer support, and ensuring the effective delivery of SOLIDWORKS solutions.
Role
- Team Leadership: Managing a team of 30 SOLIDWORKS-certified engineers and Application Engineers, including Application Engineers to deliver technical support, training, and solution implementation.
- Technical Support Oversight: Ensuring timely resolution of technical incidents reported by customers, troubleshooting software functionality issues, and coordinating support in Mumbai area.
- Training and Workshops: Overseeing on-site and online training programs, productivity enhancement workshops, and webinars to educate clients on SOLIDWORKS features, including 3D CAD, simulation, and product data management.
- Solution Implementation: Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to provide solution presentations, conduct technical know-how workshops, and support customers in integrating SOLIDWORKS into their workflows.
- Customer Engagement: Working with clients to understand their needs, recommending appropriate SOLIDWORKS solutions, and ensuring high customer satisfaction, aligning with Resellers record of receiving the Highest Customer Satisfaction award for five consecutive years.
- Project Management: Managing projects related to CAD/CAM/CAE solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer requirements, and possibly integrating tools like SolidPlant P&ID or DriveWorks for design automation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications like CSWP or CSWE (Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert) would be advantageous.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in CAD modeling, preferably with SOLIDWORKS, and familiarity with PDM systems. Experience in managing technical teams or projects is critical.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD, simulation, and product data management tools. Knowledge of related software like SolidPlant P&ID, DriveWorks, or optical design add-ins is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage teams and client relationships. Analytical problem-solving and project management abilities are essential.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in industries like manufacturing, automotive, or oil and gas, with an understanding of design automation, simulation, and lean methodologies.
