Job – CFD Analyst | Pune

A leading design and simulation engineering services company in Pune is hiring CFD Analyst.

• Position: CFD Analyst
• Experience: 3-5 Years

• Qualification: BE / B-TECH, ME / M-TECH

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. CAD geometry clean up in HM/ANSA for full vehicle (including engine, BIW, CAS, and all Underhood parts/assemblies).
2. Responsible for all the CAD data checks/intersection/missing parts or any such issues in CAD data and highlighting issues immediately to customer and resolve them immediately.
3. Surface meshing in HM/ANSA with specified quality criteria and capturing design features given.
4. Responsible for building a complete vehicle surface mesh and volume mesh model with given specifications a specified timeline and given work hours.
5. Ensure simulation problem definition, appropriateness, adequacy of simulation

scope, correctness & completeness of CFD analysis.

6. Knowledge of different models like MRF modeling, heat exchanger modeling,

Turbulence models, and Radiation models in Fluent.

7. Knowledge of handling full vehicle models for Under hood thermal and Exterior

aerodynamics CFD simulations.

8. Interpret CFD results from thermal management, and heat exchangers performance

point of view to identify issues and implement / suggest cost effective solutions.

9. Provide accurate and detailed reports of CFD results, providing recommendations &

design directions for improvements.

10.Work-out feasible design solutions along with design team for all identified risks.

11.In depth knowledge of CFD simulation process from under hood thermal & External

Aerodynamics simulation point of view to meet project timelines.

12.Strong presentation skills, strong in verbal and written communication skills.

Domain Knowledge (Skills Required)

1. Sound knowledge of mechanical and automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, advanced heat transfer, thermodynamics.
2. Knowledge of vehicle thermal systems interactions and architecture, including engine, cooling systems, exhaust systems with strong understanding of vehicle development process.
3. Knowledge of External Aerodynamics for passenger cars and shape optimization for drag and lift improvements.
4. In depth knowledge of finite volume methods, turbulence modeling, structured & unstructured grids, wall functions.
5. In-depth knowledge of digital optimization analysis, Ansys Fluent, Tgrid, Ensight, HM, ANSA.
