Hiring: Mechanical Design Engineer | Pune

HireCADians (DailyCADCAM) is hiring for a leading technology company developing GPU-based software applications for signal processing, with a focus on the space, telecommunications, and defence sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SOLIDWORKS skills to contribute to the design and development of innovative hardware products, electronic equipment enclosures, and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SOLIDWORKS.
• Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Design electronic equipment enclosures, mounting arrangements, and mechanical assemblies, considering thermal and environmental requirements.
• Work with machined components, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Design components using materials such as aluminium and nylon, with appropriate material selection based on strength, weight, and thermal performance.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, engineering drawing standards, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Use 3D printing and rapid prototyping for product development, testing, and validation.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing partners for prototyping, component development, and production support.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in electronic equipment enclosures, SDR hardware, defence, aerospace, telecommunications, or industrial product design will be preferred.
