Job Title: Design and Application Engineer

A leading company in automation and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), delivering cutting-edge solutions to optimize manufacturing processes across industries is seeking a skilled Design and Application Engineer to join dynamic team and contribute to designing and implementing high-performance automation systems.

Job Summary:
The Design and Application Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems and SPMs tailored to client specifications. This role combines technical expertise in mechanical/electrical design with practical application engineering to ensure seamless integration of solutions. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a passion for innovation and precision in automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Create detailed designs for automation systems and SPMs using CAD software (PTC Creo, SolidWorks and AutoCAD) based on client requirements and industry standards.
• Application Engineering: Collaborate with clients to understand their automation needs, propose technical solutions, and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
• Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and validate designs to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety.
• Project Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, electrical, and software engineers, to manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance design efficiency and system performance.
• Compliance: Ensure all designs and applications comply with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, CE).

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in automation, SPM design, or application engineering in an industrial setting.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (PTC Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, HMI, and control systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automation components (sensors, actuators, robotics, etc.).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation standards.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Certifications (Preferred): CAD certifications, Six Sigma, or automation-related credentials.
